The location of the Conference is the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Main Building in Zurich downtown.
Directions from Zurich Airport to the ETH Main BuildingPlease make sure that you already have Swiss Francs (CHF) or Euro (bank notes only) if you know that you will arrive after 22:00 local time. By TaxiThe easiest and most comfortable way to the ETH Main Building is to take a taxicab. Ask the driver to take you to Rämistrasse 101 in Zürich City. This will cost you about CHF 40.- (taxicabs are fairly expensive in Zürich). By Train and TramThe least expensive way, costing about CHF 6.- is to take the train to Zürich railway main station. Trains leave every 15 to 20 minutes and take about 10 minutes to get you to Zürich railway main station. (Zürich Hauptbahnhof or just HB) At the airport follow the signs to the underground train station to get to the railway station. The train station is located three levels underground. Please make sure that you have a valid ticket before taking the last stairs down to the platforms. Tickets are valid both for train and tram and can be bought at the ticket shop (the clerks speak english) or at the ticket vending machine.

stop. The trams in Zürich are numbered and the ones that will take
you to the ETH Main Building carries number 6 (orange/brown sign, direction to 'Zoo') or 10 (magenta sign, direction 'Bahnhof Oerlikon'). To find the appropriate tram stop look out for a sign with this number. Ticketing MachineTo use the ticketing machine you need swiss coins, CHF 20.- bank notes or Euro bank notes. Tickets are valid for the whole public transport network between the zone(s) encompassing the origin and the destination place. Single way tickets are valid for two hours, two way tickets are valid for 24 hours. | |||
