Abstract :
Several examples of infrared thermal imaging applications dealing
with power transistors are presented. Examples include MOS
melt-through detection, effects of die bond voiding, second
breakdown observation, solder fatigue effects, and transient
analysis of dual die power transistors. Thermal resistance
measurements and conformal coatings are also discussed.
