Paper presenters must attend the Author's breakfast at the Cairns Convention
Centre at 0730 hours on the day of their session. At this breakfast, session
chairs will gather biographical information and final arrangements for
sessions will be discussed. Included for presenting authors only.
Lunches
Cairns Convention Centre
A light lunch is included for fulltime delegates on Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday. The Awards Luncheon is also included for fulltime delegates.
Additional tickets: AUD$17 per person; Thursday luncheon tickets: AUD$45
per person.

at the Cairns Convention Centre. Catch up with colleagues and friends

Vincente Salas, Power Electronics Professor at Universidad Carlos III

Always the highlight of the conference, join fellow delegates, colleagues

as dancers from the Djenji Buai (Shark Clan) perform traditional Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander dances to the accompaniment of the didgeridoo,
clap sticks and island drums. This high-energy performance is not to be

Quicksilver
Outer Barrier Reef Cruise

Travel to Agincourt Reef on Quicksilver's modern wavepiercing catamarans
cruise to the reef activity platforms moored in protective lagoons on
the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Passengers can explore the reef for
the comfort of a semi-submersible, an underwater observatory, or snorkel
and dive in a unique underwater world. The Outer Reef Day includes activities
for swimmers and non-swimmers, such as snorkelling (assisted and supervised
by qualified snorkelling safety officers), semi-submersible, underwater
observatory and marine biologist presentation. A range of optional activities
is provided to assist passengers to enjoy the reef in more ways - including

Dive offers certified divers up to two dives and novices can experience
the magic of scuba with a qualified dive instructor. |

marine biologist takes small groups away to explore and learn more
