EVS 21 drew to an end in unfortunate and painful circumstances due to the announcement of the dealth of the Sovereign Prince Rainer III of Monaco. We tried to keep the disturbance this caused to EVS 21 to a minimum at this difficult time.

The 21st Worldwide International Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition was held in Monte Carlo from 2nd to 6th April 2005.
During this time of far-reaching changes in the industry, the crucial question facing developers and investors is which advanced vehicle technology will capture the mass market. EVS-21 is a meeting of minds between the industry actors on the one hand and public authorities on the other to explore & promote viable solutions — We must act now for sustainable mobility.
EVS 21 was organised in cooperation with the World Electric Vehicle Association (WEVA), the hosting & location of the EVS series rotates amongst its regional member organisations covering Europe & Africa (AVERE), Asia Pacific (EVAAP) and the Americas (EDTA). The 21st edition of EVS came to Europe in Monaco.
EVS-21 was hosted by AVERE and AMAVE, its national section in Monaco, in partnership with the Government of the Principality of Monaco, the Automobile Club de Monaco and the Société Monégasque de l'Électricité et du Gaz.
