During two days, on 31th of August and 1rst of September, just before the conference, you may also discover the greatest flea market in Europe -the Lille Braderie- which takes place every year and gathers more than one million people. Imagine 200 kilometres of sidewalks occupied by stallholders, from the city and from all over Europe. Other than bargain-hunting, another tradition has established itself here - that of a bowl of mussels and chips ("moules-frites") along with a glass of local beer.
