Guided tour on foot in the heart of Toulouse
The Town Hall called the Capitole, one of the most beautiful
civil buildings of France.
Crossing the Capitole’square, access to the St-Sernin
Basilica, one of the main stage on the way to Santiago de
Compostella.
The Jacobins Church, mother-house of the Dominican religious
order
Bernuy Mansion, the Woad golden age best witness.

Discovery cruise
Boarding on a riverboat at Daurade embankment. « The
Capitole » goes up the Garonne and crosses St Michel
lock. Then it navigates alongside Grand Ramier isle, filled
with migrating birds, comes back and goes alongside Tounis
and Daurade embankments, passing under the old bridges,
until the EDF Bazacle barrage : discovery of the historic
monuments of Toulouse. When the Garonne river is unavigable,
« the Capitole » is situated at Port St Sauveur,
for a cruise on the Canal du Midi.

Day Tour : SAINT-BERTRAND-DE-COMMINGES
At one hour and half from Toulouse, Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges
bathed in 2000 years of history from Roman times to the
present day, is one of the richest sites in France in both
archeological and historical terms.
Visit of the first Roman site : the temple, the baths,
the market, the theatre, the paleo-christian basilica –
Saint-Just de Valcabrère basilica
After lunch in the medieval city, discovery of Sainte-Marie
cathedral and cloister : a stopping point on the Way of
St James recognised by UNESCO.

Day tour : ALBI GAILLAC
Departure to Albi, being only at onehour's distance from
Toulouse
Visit of Toulouse-Lautrec gallery : located in the former
palace of the bishops, it houses the most important collection
of this painter who was born in Albi in 1864.
After lunch in the city center, visit of Sainte-Cécile
Cathedral – the most impressive religious monument
of south west France : a real brick fortress outside, but
a gothic jewel inside.
On return, stage to Abbaye Saint-Michel in Gaillac, one
of the most famous vineyards in France, with a winetasting
session

Day tour : CARCASSONNE
At one hour from Toulouse : visit of the largest european
fortress :
Walk in the lists boarding the walls and the narrow streets
sheltered from the rampart, visit of the jewel of the Cité
: the Basilica of St Nazaire.
The guide will talk about the so much debated restaurations
which took place in the 19th century, but also about Lady
Carcas legend which gave its name to the city.
