Abstract :
The optimization of an SMPS leads in minimizing a given criterion under several constraints, as efficiency, EMC, dynamic performances...
To reach this "optimum", means to take simultaneously into account all the physical phenomena involved in the converter design.
A comparison is done between a simple and a multicell chopper, with a minimum volume, under the same automotive constraints.
