COPIMERA XVI, the Pan American Congress of Mechanical, Electrical and Allied Engineering Fields will be held in Santiago Chile, September 28 - October 3, 1997. Final manuscripts were due by June 20, 1997. Topical areas of special interest for the Congress will include robotics, machine design, electrical power systems, thermal systems, energy, maintenance, telecommunications, material engineering, productivity, operational methods, electronics, and computational methods. The 32nd Annual Meeting of the IEEE Industry Application Society is set for October 5-10, 1997, in New Orleans, Lousiana, USA.
