Large Attendance at PESC® '96 June in Italy

PESC '96 Conference Chair Piero Maranesi has provided figures for attendance at the 1996 Power Electronics Specialists Conference held at the Grand Hotel Dino in Baveno, Italy. Baveno is located on the shore of Lake Maggiore in northern Italy.

 

There were 452 attendees with a regional distribution breakdown of 212 from Europe, 106 from North America, 24 from Central and South America, 100 from Asia and Australia, and 10 from Africa and the Middle East. The distribution of the authors was similar to that of the attendees. A total of 300 papers were accepted for presentation in addition to three invited papers. There were 45 technical sessions. Approximately 200 persons attended the three rap sessions on

Tuesday evening and more than 400 joined in the Welcome Party on Monday and the Gala Dinner on Wednesday.
