The 32nd Annual Meeting of the IEEE Industry Application Society is set for October 5-10, 1997, in New Orleans, Lousiana, USA. The conference will provide a major international forum to address lighting issues. The Production and Application of Light Committee is soliciting papers in the areas that include, but are not limited to, Lighting electronics (Operation, analysis, simulation, and design of electromagnetic and electronic ballasts, ignitors, dimming controls, etc.) - Light sources (Discharge physics - lamp design issues, lamp modeling, etc.) - Lighting systems (Discharge lamp - circuit interactions, power quality issues, etc.) - Electronics packaging in lighting (Compact packaging techniques, component reliability issues, etc.) Presented papers are eligible for review and publication in the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications. ABSTRACT REQUIREMENTS:
Prospective authors should prepare a one-page abstract and a three-page digest of their proposed paper (plus figures and references), double-spaced on standard letter-size (or A4) paper. Sufficient information must be included to enable reviewers to assess significance of the new contribution. Authors' names, affiliation, addresses, phone and fax numbers (e-mail addresses, if available), including identification of the corresponding author, must be provided on the abstract page only (but not on the digest). Please submit 4 copies.
