INTELEC '96 in Boston in October

The eighteenth annual International Telecommunications Energy Conference (INTELEC) will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, October 6 through 10, 1996. INTELEC is an international forum for the exchange of technical information on the design, application and performance of power systems and components as integral parts of global telecommunications networks. The conference provides an opportunity for designers, manufacturers, distributors and users to discuss a wide variety of topics related to telecommunications network powering technologies and energy management. INTELEC is sponsored by the IEEE Power Electronics Society.

The theme of the 1996 conference is "Reliable Power for the Network of the Future." Over 120 technical papers will be presented in thirty technical sessions. Two workshops will be held to address specific issues related to batteries and powering multimedia networks. In addition, four tutorials are planned, addressing transient voltage surge suppression, switchmode design and layout techniques, central office grounding issues and engine generators in telecommunications applications. The latest power systems and components, designed and produced by manufacturers from all over the world, will be exhibited at the conference as well.
