Fifth Workshop on Computers in Power Electronics

The 5th IEEE Power Electronics Society Workshop on Computers in Power Electronics will be held August 11-14, 1996, on the campus of Portland State University (PSU), Portland, Oregon. Early arrival on Saturday (Aug. 10) is encouraged to take advantage of airfare discounts.

Registration Information

The workshop registration fee covers participation in all technical activities including the tutorial session, copy of speakers' viewgraphs, the workshop proceedings, the reception, river boat banquet, and three breakfasts (Aug. 12-14). Dormitory style accommodations are available on PSU Campus, the site of the workshop. The fee for these accommodations covers a package of five nights from Aug. 10 (Saturday) to Aug. 14 (Wednesday). The number of rooms is limited to 14 (double occupancy only) and they will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. Total cost is US$75.00 for the package. The availability should be checked before registering by contacting the Workshop Chair by phone, e-mail or fax. Alternative lodging has been arranged at Red Lion Inn, which is only a short walking distance away from the workshop site. A number of rooms have been reserved for workshop participants. The per-night conference rates are: single occupancy room US$85.00, double occupancy US$100, triple occupancy US$115.00, and quadruple occupancy US$130.00. PSU on-campus parking can be arranged through the PSU parking office at TEL: 503-725-3442. Parking is free in PSU parking structures on Saturday and Sunday.

PSU is easily accessed from the Portland Airport via shuttle services, buses and taxi service. Detailed instructions, workshop program, and information on Portland and its surroundings will be sent to participants after registration.

Please submit fees to the Workshop Chair by check payable to the IEEE 96 COMP. PELS, accompanied by a copy of registration form provided below. International participants should pay by International Money Order or cashier's check drawn on a U.S. bank.
