Abstract :
In an elementary cell of this type, the switches can be simultaneously closed or open for a short time, leading to either
overcurrent or overvoltage. To minimise stresses and losses, the commutation between the two switches needs to be equivalent to that
between a transistor and a diode. To satisfy this condition two control strategies are proposed: one utilises simulation software
and has been validated by experiment; in the other, not yet achieved, the change of state of one switch provokes that of the other.
