PURPOSE

The International Conference on Power and Energy Systems is a major forum for scientists, engineers, and practitioners throughout the world to present their latest research, results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of electric power and energy systems. EuroPES 2004 aims to strengthen relations between the power industry, research laboratories, and universities. All papers submitted to this conference will be peer evaluated by two reviewers. Acceptance will be based primarily on originality and contribution.

EuroPES 2004 will be held in conjunction with the IASTED International Conference on Applied Simulation and Modelling (ASM 2004).

LOCATION
Rhodes (Rodos in Greek), the beautiful Island of the Rose, is famous for its sun, sea, and sand. Officially the sunniest place in Europe, Rhodes is an ideal vacation spot. The island of Rhodes is fascinating, not only for its natural beauty, but also for its archaeological treasures. The city of Rhodes was first settled around the 15th century BCE by the Mycenae, Tiryns, and Argos. It quickly became a powerful state which soon extended its influence over the neighbouring islands. Rhodes was a prosperous city for many centuries with extensive rule. It is famous for being the first city to enact maritime law for proper sea conduct. These many historical aspects merge with the cosmopolitan ambience of a modern resort city, with its luxurious hotels, fine dining, and decorative shops.
