IASTED International Conference
Please note that the conference proceedings will be mailed to each delegate after the conference. Attendance at the conference is mandatory in order to be published in the proceedings. The International Conference on Power and Energy Systems (EuroPES 2001), sponsored by IASTED, will be held on the beautiful island of Rhodes, Greece from July 3-6, 2001. Rhodes (Rodos in Greek) is famous for its sun, sea, and sand. An ideal vacation spot, Rhodes is officially the sunniest place in Europe. The island of Rhodes is fascinating, not only for its natural beauty, but also for its archeological treasures. The city of Rhodes dates back to 408 BC. It made strong advances during this time and managed to extend its area of rule, mint its own coin, and introduce the first maritime laws, all before the second century BC. Rhodes combines the cosmopolitan character of a modern resort city with the picturesque architecture of medieval buildings and decorative shops. The conference will be held at the five-star Rodos Palace Resort, located in the heart of Ialyssos Bay, overlooking the Aegean Sea. As the largest resort in Greece, the Rodos Palace Resort has 785 guest rooms and many amenities that enhance its elegance and luxury. The International Conference on Power and Energy Systems is a major forum for scientists, engineers, and practitioners throughout the world to present their latest research, results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of electric power and energy systems. Its aim is to encourage and strengthen relations between the power industry, research laboratories, and universities. The highlights of EuroPES 2001 will include keynote addresses, contributed papers, tutorials, and workshops. Please select Call for Papers for more information. Euro-PES Technical
