Insulation of
electrical components
under vacuum: A review
of mechanical possibilities to improve
the behaviour of electrical parts
Dr. M. Kaufmann
The following article describes the possibilities and equipment to improve the electrical properties of electrical parts like on-board transformers, ignition coils up to PT/CT transformers, rotors and stators of electric drives, transformer coils for dry-type transformers as well as active parts for power transformers.
Due to the wide range of the products, different technologies and equipment to produce these parts are described. The main topic of all methods is the treatment of the insulating material under vacuum as well as the drying and filling of the parts themselves.
The process background will also be described as well as the different methods of treatment and production.
