Abstract :
Reviews the information obtained from a series of long term maximum
rated life tests as well as accelerated tests on several product families
of epoxy encapsulated transistors. The trend in the capability of epoxy
devices to withstand high level qualification tests is outlined and
projections are made for the future growth in the use of plastic
encapsulated devices.
