Schedule for paper submission:

Synopsis Deadline October 15, 1999

Notification of Acceptance December 15, 1999

Photo-ready copies and Registration fees February 1, 2000

Synopsis:

Each synopsis must include an abstract of approximately 100 words and a four page summary in single spaced on A4 paper, including illustrations. The synopsis should state the goal of the work, the major results obtained and how the work is distinguished from prior efforts. Three (3) copies of the synopsis are required, only one with author(s), affiliation(s), mailing address(es), phone and fax numbers and E-mail address of the corresponding author added, for an unbiased evaluation of the paper. Each author (co-author) can participate with maximum three (3) papers.

Accepted Papers:

All submitted papers are reviewed by members of the International Steering Committee and the corresponding author will be notified of acceptance or rejection by December 15, 1999. Accepted papers must be presented at the conference (an author could present maximum two (2) papers) and will be published in the conference proceedings. The papers presented (the session and date will be mentioned) at OPTIM 2000, if authors choose so, may be sent by them (in four copies, double column, single spaced format, same as for OPTIM) and will considered for review for eventual publication in IEEE Trans. Vol. IA, provided their content falls into the scope of this Journal. More details will be given on site at OPTIM 2000.

Conference Language:

The official language of the Conference is English. It will be used for all printed materials, presentations and discussions.

Registration fees (bank transfer taxes not included):

465 USD for each participant (author or not author), includes attendance at all scientific programs, invitation to the welcome reception and the banquet, one copy for each volume of the Proceedings, daily meals (3 days), accommodation

(3 nights), transport by bus organised from and to the Bucharest International Airport.

265 USD for each companion (not author or co-author) , includes invitation to the welcome reception and the banquet, daily meals (3 days), accommodation (3 nights), transport by bus organized from and to the Bucharest International Airport.

Conference Location:

The OPTIM 2000 conference will be held in Brasov, 176 km northwest of Bucharest. Brasov is a famous beautiful city in the middle of the country. There are many beautiful scenes in Brasov and Poiana Brasov, which is located in the neighbourhood of the city. Brasov can be reached very well by car and it also by trains from/to most of the big cities in Romania. Brasov has no International Airport. The conference period is in May, which is warm enough, moist, with temperature about from 16 C (night) to 20 C(day). The Conference will take place in Poiana Brasov, 30 minutes by car, from the center of the old town. For further information, please read this URL.
