General Scope of the Conference (Return to TOC)

The aim of the ESSCIRC series of conferences is to provide an annual
European forum for the presentation and discussion of recent advances in solid-state circuits. Following recent successful conferences in Southampton (1997), The Hague (1998) and Duisburg (1999) the Programme Committee invites contributions for the 2000 conference in Stockholm in the area of analogue, digital and mixed analogue digital solid state circuits, and in closely related topics.

ESSCIRC'2000 will have 3 parallel sessions, with selected papers, separate poster presentations and invited papers in plenary sessions.

Submission of  Papers (Return to TOC)

WWW submission  for ESSCIRC'2000

ESSCIRC will introduce electronic submission for the 2000 conference. For more details see http://www.esscirc.org/submissions .

For electronic submissions please use PDF-format, if PDF is not possible please contact the ESSCIRC secretariat.

Contributed papers must be submitted in final form to be published in the proceedings. They must not exceed four A4 pages with all illustrations and references included.
Manuscript guide-lines (MS Word, LATeX and PDF) as well as instructions how to submit electronically are available on the Internet: http://www.esscirc.org/submissions

Due to timing constraints associated with the paper review process, papers must be received by 7 April 2000.
After selection of papers, authors will be informed of the decision of the Programme Committee in June 2000.
The preliminary Final Programme will be published on the Internet.

Papers arriving late, deviating from the required presentation or having been published elsewhere will be rejected. All papers will be reviewed and authors will be informed of the decision of the Programme Committee by beginning of June 2000. Papers may be accepted for poster or oral presentation. All accepted papers will be printed in the proceedings without opportunity for further change. The best papers will be solicited for extended publication in the IEEE-Journal of Solid-State Circuits.

Best Paper Awards

The ESSCIRC'99 Best Paper Award will be presented during the opening of the conference.

Participants will also be invited to select the Best Paper from the contributed papers at this year's conference. Also Best Student Papers will be awarded with sponsoring of the IEEE Sweden Electronic Devices Chapter. Submitted papers must be marked STUDENT paper to be considered for this award.

Further Information (Return to TOC)

Venue
Stockholm - in particular the industrial region in the northern part around Kista - is one of the most dynamically expanding areas in Europe in the field of mobile communication systems and devices. Kista is rapidly developing as one of the worlds leading science parks. All major electronics companies in Sweden have either their headquarter or branch office in Kista employing about 25.000 people in this area.

Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) has recently
established a new faculty of information technology in Kista with the objective of becoming one of the leading European universities in research and education.

Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, offers attractive sights and cultural events. The conference evening programme will give an impression of Stockholm's attractions.

Accommodation
The organisers have reserved an allotment of hotel
accommodation, but early booking is suggested.
